Avidan Brown, Performer: Avidan has been skating since the age of 8 years old. At 15, he moved away from home to pursue his competitive dreams full-time. He has competed for multiple countries in Ice Dance, including the US, UK, Israel, Ukraine, and Azerbaijan at the National and International level. Along with his partner, Anastasia Galyeta, he competed at the 2017 World Championships in Helsinki, Finland. He has also compete at many Challenger Series and international events across the world, including the 2018 Olympic Qualifier in Oberstdorf, Germany. Avidan now lives in NYC with his husband, and performs with the Ice Theatre of New York. He is studying psychology at Columbia University and coaches ice dance.
Mauro Bruni, Founder and Director, Performer and Choreographer: MBA, BFA, A leader in the professional figure skating community, Mauro is a longtime ice performer, coach, choreographer, and show director. He has taught students in the USA, Mexico, Britain, Sweden, the Netherlands, Germany, France, and Austria. Credits include: House of Mauro creator and founder. Michelle de Grâce Campos, Performer: Michelle was born outside of Vancouver, Canada and strapped her first pair of skates on at 3 years old. She didn’t know where she was or why she was there, but her mother, originally from Mexico and fascinated by figure skating, said she had to become a skater, so that’s exactly what she did. 28 years later, Michelle has carved a lengthy show career and established herself as a coach for young amateur skaters, specializing in skills, moves and choreography.
After competing in ice dance, she went on to join Feld Entertainment's Disney on Ice and has since worked for many companies with over 35 different productions as a soloist and adagio pair skater. She is also trained in the aerial arts, is an avid yoga practitioner, and a registered dietician.
Michelle’s passion for figure skating stems from a dance background, where unique movement and creative choreography is used to inspire. 'I am beyond excited to skate with Mauro and his new company, I can’t even begin to imagine the beauty we will create together as a group!'
Angela Chiang, Performer: Angela grew up in New Jersey but now calls New York City home. Her passion for figure skating started as soon as she stepped on the ice at the age of four. Angela credits her accomplishments in skating to her mother and grandmother's encouragement. Both dreamt of becoming graceful figure skaters. After retiring from her competitive career in 2000, Angela balanced a full life between school, career, travel, and performing professionally. Angela is a graduate of NYU with a B.A. in Journalism and Metropolitan Studies, a USFS double gold medalist, company member of the Ice Theatre of New York, a former instructor for Figure Skating in Harlem, a former member of the NHL's New York Rangers City Skaters squad and continues to devote herself to her students and her love of coaching at Chelsea Piers in Manhattan. Angela is thrilled to be joining the House of Mauro Productions!
Joel Dear, Choreographer and Performer: Joel is excited to be part of the inaugural production with House of Mauro. He is a two-time national medalist. Joel toured professionally for notable companies as Holiday on Ice (Festival), Willy Bietak Productions (Broadway on Ice and Royal Caribbean), Ice Dance International, and Ice Theatre of New York. He was featured on Season 8 of American's Got Talent with Aerial Ice and performed in over 2,000 shows around the world. He is a technical specialist in Ice Dancing and has choreographed for world-class amateur and professional skaters alike, showcasing his work all over the globe!
Anna Dolgov, Guest Star: Anna is a third grader at North Mianus School in Riverside who turned 9 this past April. She started skating at age 4 at the Dorothy Hamill Rink in Greenwich, CT, and has competed at various New York metropolitan-area US Figure Skating competitions since she was 6. Since 2015, Anna has also been a member of the popular and successful Skyliners synchro team. Last season she was a featured skater on the Skyliners Preliminary line, winning gold at the 2019 Eastern Sectional Synchronized Championships in Worcester, MA. Along with skating, Anna also studies ballet, tap dance, musical theatre and the violin, as is a member of the Saint Mary Church Youth Choir in Greenwich. Anna is very grateful to her coaches and teachers who support, encourage and guide her in her skating and all other activities and pursuits, helping her grow into the dedicated and accomplished skater she is today, and strives to be in the years to come. Anna feels honored and privileged to have the opportunity to showcase her passion for ice skating and share the ice with such accomplished internationally-recognized skaters at the House of Mauro's 'Night on Ice.'
Christian Erwin, Performer: Christian is from Milwaukee, Wisconsin and started skating at age 5. From the beginning, he fell in love with skating with a partner and turned his focus solely to ice dancing. As an amateur, Christian competed nationally and has since become a National Technical Specialist. Ever since he moved to NYC in 2014, Christian has skated with the Ice Theatre of New York while coaching and choreographing for students of all ages.
Lauren Farr, Performer: Lauren started skating at the age of 4 in Idaho. At the age of 16, she moved on her own to Delaware to pursue a competitive pair skating career. After competing at the national level she then decided to go in a new direction and has been skating professionally in shows for the past 8 years. She has worked for Ice Dance International, Holiday on Ice, Dynamic Shows GmbH and the TV show: Stars Dancing on Ice in Holland.
Lauren has recently moved to Berlin, Germany. She loves being out in nature, meditation and dancing.
Kate Gauthier, Performer: Kate grew up in beautiful Banff, AB, Canada. She has had the privilege of performing with Disney on Ice, The Ice Theatre of New York, and Ice Dance International. She could not be more thrilled to be joining the House of Mauro team. The chance to work with such a talented group of performers and creators is a dream come true!
Jennifer Gruver, Performer: Jenn fell in love with the sport of figure skating at the age of six. With the love and support of her family, coaches, and directors, that love has not wavered in her 23 years of skating. A Colorado native, Jennifer spent 16 years competing in the Southwestern Region before following her dreams of becoming a professional performer. After graduating from the University of Colorado, Jennifer spent 5 years traveling the world with Disney on Ice. She wrapped up her touring career in December 2016 to pursue more of her performance dreams in New York City. In the short time she has lived in the city, she finds herself skating, choreographing and performing more than ever.
Adam Kaplan, Choreographer and Performer: Adam lives and coaches in his home state of Rhode Island as he continues to perform in shows around the world. During his amateur career, he competed nationally and internationally in pairs and singles. Adam took a four-year hiatus to finish his college education and direct an ice skating program in Dundalk, Ireland, the first ice rink in the country in 10 years. Upon returning from Ireland, Adam began his professional career. He skated his first principal soloist position for Woodstock Ice Productions, followed by many years touring the world as a principal soloist for Holiday on Ice. He has skated in over 25 principal contracts and in between, continues to teach on- and off-ice classes all around the USA. He choreographs for national winning synchronized skating teams in Boston, MA as well as national winning theater on ice teams in RI. He enjoys taking all kinds of movement classes to further his skating education and even started his own skating academy based on learning through class structure and workshops called "Showstoppers Performance & Training Academy." Adam is an ice skater, teacher, choreographer, company owner, director and most of all, a performer!
Maja Luther, Choreographer: After competing on a German National Junior level, Maja went on to join the glamorous show life and performed over a span of twelve years as a soloist/principal in performing ice shows. During those years she also took on the role of Cast Manager and was responsible for the performance quality of the shows. She has choreographed for professional world level skaters, as well as for competitors in Europe. Maja's passion for choreographic detail, as well as a deep interest in movement techniques led her to study at the Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance in London, where she graduated with a Diploma in Dance Studies in 2016. This not only influenced her artistic thoughts, but also impacted her coaching style supporting the students with deeper bodily understanding and somatic awareness. Maja loves to dive into creative projects with fellow artists from different genres, uncertain of the outcome, with hope to find something new. She is very passionate about the development of figure skating into an open-minded artistic direction and is curious how the art form will continue to broaden its scope in the future.
Anna Madorsky, Media Coordinator: Anna has been skating since she was 3 years old. Ever since then it has been a lifetime love affair with the ice. She started as a young competitive skater from Cleveland Ohio and since then become an international performer the world over. Anna has also choreographed and coached for national and international competitors as well as for theatre on ice teams. After finishing her degree at Montana State University she joined her first professional show in Hong Kong, China. Anna then went on to skate as a principal soloist for many years with such companies as Holiday on Ice, Willy Bietak Productions, and Disney on Ice. Most recently, Anna portrayed the iconic role of Elsa on tour with Disney on Ice.

Katherine Mangiardi, Live Artist, Performer and Choreographer: Katie is an artist, coach, and figures performer with the Ice Theatre of New York. After receiving her Bachelor of Arts from Vassar and MFA in Painting from RISD, she has been exhibiting her work in various museums and galleries. In 2009, Mangiardi was awarded the W.K. Rose Fellowship in the Creative Arts. Recently, Kate has begun to merge her experience as a skater into her art through exploring the connection between the etchings a skater leaves behind on the ice and the creation of a drawing. She works with various mediums to explore the extension, displacement and diffusion of the body in elaborately-dkilled activites such as lacework and figure skating.
Yebin Mok, Guest Star: Yebin is a two time Junior National Champion of the United States. Yebin successfully represented America at the World Championship level and medalled at prestigious international competitions before traveling the world as a principle skater in Holiday on Ice, Beitak Productions, and Wheeler Productions. While working with a variety of world renowned choreographers and directors, she established herself as a leading principal skater with trademark grace and flowing lines as well as winning Gold in the ProSkaters Virtual Skateoff 2012 ladies category. Yebin has now made the transition into choreographing for other skaters, bringing with her a wealth of experience built from many years of ballet training as well as her competitive and show skating past.
Emily Monaghan and Ilias Fourati, Guest Stars: Emily and Ilias are Senior Ice Dancers. They teamed up in 2018, and represent Hungary internationally in ice dancing. They have competed at numerous international competitions, including the 29th Winter Universiade in Krasnoyarsk, Russia. They are the 2019 Hungarian National Silver Medalists and are also the 1st Christmas Cup silver medalists. Their coaches are Melissa Gregory and Denis Petukhov, 2006 US Olympians.
Caitlin Roberts, Performance Supervisor: Caitlin is a local choreographer, performer, and dance educator from Norwalk, Connecticut. She began dancing at the age of 3 and continued her studies through college. Some of her training includes studying with the esteemed faculty at Broadway Dance Center, Steps on Broadway, Ailey Extension and American Ballet Theater. In addition to dancing, she also pursued figure skating competitively for over 10 years. She continues to coach and judge locally. Caitlin holds a degree in Dance with a Choreography concentration from Mercyhurst University in Erie, Pennsylvania. She has choreographed over a dozen musical productions at various local High Schools and theatre companies throughout the tri-state area. Caitlin has also performed with local theaters such as Curtain Call in Stamford, The Wilton Playshop, Downtown Cabaret in Bridgeport and Richter in Danbury. Her other performance credits include dancing with Velocity Dance Company, Tapperlesque, Connecticut Ballet and performing in several music videos, flash mobs, film and television productions.
Elizabeth Schmidt, Performer and Choreographer: Liz is a Japanese, German American Figure Skater born in Chicago, IL. Currently residing in San Fransisco, CA, she has been skating for 20 years and has an extraordinary passion for artistry in figure skating. Ice dance and dynamic movement have invoked her professional career. Beginning in 2013, 'Liz' began performing internationally as a professional figure skater in Germany and across the USA. She received her Bachelor's in Fine Arts from the San Fransisco Art Institute for Painting in 2018 and is exhibiting work across the Bay Area.
David Shapiro, Guest Star: David started skating at the age of 5 in York, Pennsylvania. Currently though, he lives and trains in Wilmington, Delaware. Recently he competed at the 2019 US National Championships in the Junior division. As well as competing, David is also a part time student at the University of Delaware as a psychology major. While still pushing his journey as a competitive figure skater, David looks forward to skate in a production that indulges in the rich and artistic side of figure skating and is beyond excited to be doing so with the House of Mauro Production!
Lara Shelton, Performer: Lara is from Wayland, Massachusetts and grew up watching her mom dance on stage. When at 5, twirling in her tutu transitioned into a love for ice skating, she balanced a rigorous on-ice schedule with training at New England ballet. She also performed in various ballets as a company member, adding lead roles to her repertoire with the Dance Prism company.
Following a competitive career in the pairs discipline with her brother Neill on the national level, Lara joined her first show as has been skating professionally for the past ten years.
Since joining the professional skating world, Lara has been able to combine her passion with her love of travel, skating around the world as both a soloist and principal pair skater with companies such as Rand Productions, Holiday on Ice, Willy Bietak Productions, Stageworks Worldwide Entertainment's 'Hot Ice,' Dynamic Ice, Illusion on Ice, Woodstock Productions, among others.
She is a triple gold USFSA medalist, and when not performing around the world enjoys passing along her skating and ballet knowledge to students.
Neill Shelton, Performer: Neill is from Boston, Massachusetts and has been skating professionally in shows for 9 years. Throughout his amateur career, Neill competed as a pairs team with his sister, Lara, becoming nationally ranked before beginning their professional career together. Neill has skated the principal pair role for companies that include Holiday on Ice, Robin Cousins' ICE, Wheeler Productions, Dynamic Shows GmbH, Royal Caribbean in association with Willy Bietak Productions, Woodstock Ice Productions, and many more. He and his current partner, Lauren Farr, have been skating together for four years, and they are so excited to be part of House of Mauro Productions!
Rohene Ward, Guest Star: Rohene is the most decorated show skater in the world. His originality, flexibility and technical strength make him one of the most popular show skaters in the world. Rohene competed four times at the US National Championships and won the Puerto Rican National Championships in 2004. As a competitive skater, he is best known for being able to jump and spin in both directions - a task very few Olympians have ever accomplished. He has choreographed for national, world, and Olympic athletes and was named 'Choreographer of the Year' by the Professional Skaters Association in 2015 and 2017 - the highest honor in his field. His students include US National Champions Jason Brown and Alyssa Liu, Olympians Madison Chock and Evan Bates, along with many others. Ward has performed in ice shows all around the world and has traveled with Holiday on Ice as a principal skater for many years. He continues to wow audiences nationally and internationally even with his very rigorous coaching schedule.
